Of whom might David Byrne remind you? |
I slept three times between 9pm and 2am.
Before the last nap, I started up the Talking Heads’ album, True Stories, cranked it down to quiet, and turned on the repeat.
My dream was about preparing to finally see my kids.
I lived in a large house. The kids had rooms in the house. They were filled with things and toys like they had lived there, but went away on a long trip.
I went around the house cleaning.
They didn’t show. People showed up and I was asking them about the kids, but no one would tell me when they would be home.
This went on for a long time and I became frustrated.
Suddenly I was on an airplane with David Byrne and he smiled and said, “Don’t worry, they’re nationwide.”
I felt better, and woke up.
The meaning of that line is, “They’re okay.”
The airplane symbolized the journey I’m on now.
The True Stories album is a message from God, even if Byrne himself doesn’t know it. It is completely the truth about why we’re here. Byrne himself represents the viewpoint of God.
God waited so long: Billions of years, alone.
You’re the dream operator: A copy of himself that chose to forget, “go to sleep” (be born), and be on your own.
“Let go of your life, take hold of my hand, here in the clouds where we’ll understand:” When it’s time to die, just relax and let go. We’ll meet back up with our Father “in the cloud” where he’ll remind us of everything and then we’ll understand. At that point, we will know everything He knew before we “went to sleep,” plus everything we experienced during our dream.
This isn’t a fictionalized account. You’re dreaming for God, who needed to forget everything in order to live a normal life, starting from scratch, and seeing the world anew.
God doesn’t have a face, so in my dream, Byrne represents God telling me everything is going to be okay.
I’m going to be translating all of the lyrics of True Stories for you soon.
