My rendition of what we saw that night. |
My phone only captured a fuzzy red dot on Thursday night of the very strange moon that rose at about 11:30pm, on July 21st, 2011.
The moon was a red-orange color, as you might expect when it rises.
The moon’s outline was clearly visible (unlike this image I doctored).
I can’t find any mention of this on the Internet.
Check out my really professional and accurate study of the positions of the moon and Earth and sun that night:
Fly the objects around in your brain for a little while then please comment and tell me how the Earth can cast that shadow on the moon. Shouldn’t an Earth shadow start on the top of the moon?
The shadow’s straight lines were ruler-straight, but it had a bump in it that was pretty jagged, so I thought it might have been a mountain on the other side of the Earth.
I have three witnesses: Dee was with me, Stephanie and her daughter saw it from somewhere else in town. We were all in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
In like 45 seconds, it was gone, but we don’t know how long the shadow was there before we noticed it. And, I just looked away and Dee yelled that it was gone. I don’t think she saw it go, she just noticed it.

Perhaps a “satellite” out in the L1 lagrange point casts shadows sometimes on the moon, but I don’t think the device would be big enough… to do it.
You can download the file as I found it on my phone from here:
