The Law of Attraction advises to keep our minds on what we appreciate and what we want because the Universe tries to provide what’s in our thoughts.
Regardless of the mechanism, whether Universal Spirit, or just psychology, I know for a fact that spending too much time thinking about a bad outcome makes that outcome more likely. For instance, if I’m walking across a log and I’m thinking, “Sure would suck to fall off this log,” then I’m more apt to fall off. I’m a strong believer that someone getting ready to cross a log should first imagine himself or herself making it across with flying colors, then just do that.
A set of books are published with “One Minute” in the title, like One Minute Salesperson, in which the salesperson (in my example) is advised to take a minute before a presentation to imagine everything going swell, and then going in to actually make things work. You already know your product is the best choice for the prospect, it’s just a matter of working out the details.
