I got really wrapped up into talking on the radio. I was planning to donate like $2500. Then I got confused on how I was going to match others’ donations. And then I thought I would just match them 3:1 up to the goal of $50,000. And then I blurted out that I’d just donate $50,000.
No, I didn’t personally have $50,000.
But, it turned out, with all the money in my company’s bank account and all the money in my bank account (like $1200?) then I had $50,000.
But I didn’t because the $1200 check bounced when they got around to cashing it.
So, I drove down there with a $1140 check and a money order or something like that.
I was obviously off my rocker and it was suggested that I could get out of it by going into the hospital or just saying I was off my rocker, but I wasn’t about to back out of that pledge.
And I yelled at this person and that person about it.
And I ended up being banned from the building where my business sat.
And, well, glad that’s over.
And my mother died.
And I yelled at my wife for messages on her phone from a guy that she was trying to hide. That was the first time I’ve ever looked into anyone else’s phone (and the last).
And I had a stand off with the police (AND WON). That was the first time, but not the last time. I’ve always won.
[Well, that’s because I don’t get into a standoff with the police unless I can win. Otherwise, I just go quietly.]
And my wife left me.
And I drove to North Dakota.
And I tried to kill myself.
And my cats died.
2004 and 2005 were just AWESOME!!
