The National Shrimp Festival keeps removing my posts on their fan page where I simply am telling people I did not get an application this year. SO I put on there I am sorry I cannot do the show because I was injured while walking and was hit by a truck and have chosen to let God take care of my worries about this show especially since I did not get an application to even try.. Let’s see if they choose to take God off of their fan page. Kim Ward

The National Shrimp Festival unblocked me and now…..Well how childish can we get? The National Shrimp Festival has once again BLOCKED me from posting anything on their fan page and have REMOVED everything even the story I put on there about The artist and Little Grey. NOW that was cruel! What part of anything I have said do they NOT understand? Evidently they did not like people asking why I was not sent an application. Kim Ward

The National Shrimp Festival will not provide me proof that I was sent an email notification. I was NOT sent one and when I said something first by e mail privately and got a ridiculous response I went on their fan page to apologize to my customers for not being there because I was simply not sent an e mail notification even when they KNEW I had been hurt. I evidently stirred up a hornet’s nest down there…
This has now been posted on the National Shrimp Festival fan page because I said I did not get an application which I DID NOT and some people came to my defense. They have removed all the comments of people who came to my defense as well and blocked them too.
“We’re excited about this year’s festival. The artist deadline has come and gone and we’re proud of the integrity and professionalism of our policies, including notifications, jurying, and more. Everyone is treated equally and fairly – without exception. We’re also big believers in the American ideals of free speech and we value open discourse of opinion on this page. However, we WILL remove any postings which we believe unfairly malign our hard-working staff and volunteers and those which we believe are using our open forum to mischaracterize their actions, our official policies and our official procedures to others. This event is now in its fifth decade. Our tradition of excellence speaks for itself.” If you wish to go to their fan page and say you will be sorry not to see me there, I would not mind at all. That would not be saying anything bad about them. OK Kim Move on….KW
