While we’ve never met, my circle has cross paths with Douglas Gordon’s, an artist also living here in Shawnee.
Douglas’ art was first pointed out to me by one business partner and today I’ve realized thanks to an exchange with another business partner that Douglas’ day job is at the very agency that helped me out of homelessness a couple of years ago.
I’ve just spent the last few minutes looking more closely at some of Douglas’ work and I’ve noticed some similarity with some out of my own Distortions folder. My work isn’t nearly as intricate.
I’m going to post some of his below, followed by some of mine.
I am in no way implying (nor do I think) that Douglas’ work was in any way influenced by mine. As far as I know, he’s never seen mine stuff anyway. I was wondering why they’re so similar, though.
I believe his were done with Photoshop and mine were done with GIMP.
His art was lifted using links supplied on this site, where you can purchase prints of Mr. Gordon’s work:

I have a lot of work, but most of it is currently offline as I’m rebuilding my own website.
You can see some of it here on Picasa.
