Misusing “Gay” is Wrong

I found this picture on someone’s blog.

I was tempted to entitle this post, “Misusing ‘Gay’ is Gay,” but the use of “gay” to mean “screwed up,” or “crazy, ” or “wrong,”  or “weak,” or anything other than “favoring love with a person of same sex,” or something along those lines is just wrong.

You know, racial terminology was once commonly used to make degrading statements about those groups in an indirect way.

Here are some:

“I’m going to just nigger-rig this.”

“I think I could have jew-ed him down some more.”

“You’re an indian-giver.”

Oh, forget it.
