If you’ve seen more than four of my tweets then you have seen me mention Jennifer Aniston.
This picture to the left is one of Jennifer Aniston. It’s used without permission. I’m sorry.
Recently I’ve been analyzing my thoughts about Miss Aniston and trying to figure out why I have decided to like her.
First some history: I’ve never been a celebrity liking sort of person. And, I don’t really like her because she is a celebrity. I’m not really a traditional fan. I haven’t seen all her movies. I haven’t seen all the episodes of Friends. I’ve never bought a magazine because she was in it. I’ve never read a book about her.
I remember the following about her from when I read her Wikipedia page a while back:
Jennifer Aniston was born in 1969, so she’s 40. I think her birthday is in February. She grew up in New York. She attended some sort of special school. I can’t remember if it was for fine arts, but that would be a good guess. Her father was someone famous.
Here’s what I know about Jennifer Aniston from seeing stories in popular media over the last ten years:
Jennifer Aniston lives in Los Angeles. She was married to Brad Pitt. She dated a younger musician. She dated Vince Voghn. She’s a runner. She supports a charity (don’t remember which one).
I don’t actually know much at all about Jennifer Aniston’s real personality. I’ve only seen her in one five minute segment on David Letterman and even then she was probably performing. So, I have to try to guess about her real personality by looking for intersections between the performances she did for each of the characters I’ve seen her portray and that David Letterman gig.
I know Jennifer Aniston adjusts her hair before pretending to read something from a book.
She likes to squint slightly when she’s acting confused or taken aback.
She doesn’t walk as though she has a huge amount of confidence in her appearance, but nothing can be read into that – she’s an actress.
So, I like her because she’s cute, she’s my age, and she circulates in a foreign world. It’s fun to wonder about her.
If I were to come face to face with the real Jennifer Aniston, I would act as though I have no idea who she is and introduce myself.
Hello, I’m Joe. What’s your name?
